NJ (Emilie's wedding)

My little sister got married! Can you believe it? The whole family is so happy for her. Plus, she was probably the easiest-to-accomodate bride in the world: so laid-back and generally happy. Emilie truly is a sweetheart. Not to imply that we're not fond of Kendrick! :)

On Friday, we had the rehearsal and dinner, where both families and all the friends were finally introduced. Unfortunately, I was feeling awful, as I had caught a cold on the way in. Lucky for me (but maybe not Phil), I was able to sit right next to the fireplace at dinner.

Saturday, with our hair and nails done, we all began getting ready in my parents house. I'd like to call this organized chaos, but I doubt the guys thought of it that way. Somehow it all worked out (despite the fact that the bride, mother of the bride, and five bridesmaids were all trying to get ready). Makeup was applied, dresses were donned, and the flowers arrived fragrant and beautiful.

Some pictures were taken at the house, and when we got to the Church, we posed quickly for additional pictures. However, it was both windy and cold (albeit with a clear sky) and us girls, all in sleeveless gowns, nearly froze! Luckily, things quickly improved with a classic ceremony, an unbeatable toast by my sister Danielle, and lots of dancing at the reception.
