Artist Point

Artist Point is a magical place that you can actually drive up to. It's located where the Mt. Baker highway ends (about three hours northeast of Seattle), elevation 5140 feet, and has beautiful panorama views of the North Cascades. It also happens to be where Phil, Dan and I decided to go one sunny afternoon before Dan moved away from Seattle.

Once you drive to the end of the highway and park, there are a number of well-groomed trails that you can use to walk around with almost no elevation gain / loss. It's a great place to take someone who can't move around much and still see fantastic views and photos. I just wish there had been fewer clouds in the sky when we went.
